Hey, Freinds Around the World!
A little Thanksgiving thought.
Here in the U.S., tomorrow is the Thanksgiving holiday. I won’t be posting any comics or poems tomorrow or Friday. I will also be doing my best to stay off social media.
I hope you’ll find some time in the next four days to rest and take a small break.
I was debating whether or not to post. I know that for many people holidays are extra hard. (Me! I’m one of those people!) I decided that I will not be posting on major holidays that my family celebrates so that I can spend time with them. (Tomorrow, I’m facing a long day with many extended family members who are not big fans of my family or me. But we’re prepared with lots of books, fully charged AirPods, and errands that we will need to run.)
I also want to do my part to slow down the breakneck pace our world operates at.
Since I run my own business, I get to decide when it’s time to pause the publication train.
I will be back to daily posting on Saturday.
If you find yourself in a place where you need to get away from people, head to the bathroom and write haiku on your phone.
Be the weird you want to see in the world!
Cheers,
Jason
P.S.
I have a secret Thanksgiving tradition. Every year during the Thanksgiving weekend festivities, I try and write as many haiku as I can. This will be my third year seeing how many poems I can write in secret. It’s a great way to avoid conversations with people I’d rather not talk to.
Don't forget to rest!
