Toady’s haiku are part of an ongoing project called, “Spiritual Not Religious”. The title of this project comes from a line in the Weezer song, “Feel’s Like Summer” on their White album. I am interested in the ideas of spirituality without religion, religion without spirituality, and the links between nature, technology, science. and religion.
each decision splits
your soul, making new timeline
god judges it all
god wasn’t at church
god was at the homeless camp
few went there to look
glowing prismatic
pocket gods are the center
of our devotions
mortals are fond of
telling god what god won't do
and what must be done
online god repays
our digital oblations
packages on porch
in child's laughter
or on a shooting star is where
joy of god displayed
