There is no theme for today’s haiku. While I am usually great at focusing on my work—I have been driven to distraction by the dystopian novel we are living through. However, I couldn't let another day pass without putting some more small, strange haiku out into the world in the hopes that they might make your day at least 1% better.
she choked down her hope
and drowned it with bitterness
proved hard to digest
once he stopped straining
to see the past and the future
his vision improved
their meet-cute was when
they both tried to rob the same
bank at the same time
potential killer
considers contrast between
waiting and lurking
caught in folds of time
unanchored to location
forever floating
she made a living
from her imagination
full-time con-artist
Thanks for reading!
Be the poetry you want to see in the world,
