Hello, Birdwatchers!
Herons are on my mind. This week, I’m excited to go and watch the new Hayao Miyazaki film, The Boy and the Heron.
This past summer, I had a delightful encounter with a bird I’d never seen before, a small green heron. And then, a couple of weeks ago, at the same pond where I saw the green heron, I saw a stunning great blue heron! I’m still working on some poetry comics about this most recent encounter.
Today, I’m sending you a voicemail of my describing that experience, with promises of a poetry comic or two or three about the blue heron coming in the new year.
