I have a series of poems set in a near-future, where self-aware algorithms have openly taken control of the world after manipulating us to do their bidding through social media for years. I have been writing these poems off and on since 2018 and sometimes I am frightened how they are becoming more true instead of obviously dated. Here are a few of my favorites of the genre I call “How the Machines Won”.
the robots taught us
immortality's price was
human agency
after the machines
rose up, “people watching” took
a sinister turn
gamification
only a euphemism
for reprogramming
Thanks for reading!
Please share with anyone you think might be interested in some weirdo poetry.
Be the poetry you want to see in the world,
