Do you enjoy your life?

I am not a minimalist. My art and my tastes are maximalist. I love being surrounded by bright colors and curated ephemera.

But when it comes to the way I prefer to spend my days, I bask in the joy of nothing. I love having no routine. I enjoy being able to wander around outside, heading to the library or a cafe to write, sitting in my car watching the world while sketching out a few haiku, reading, and sitting at my desk at home and drawing and making comics.

I can spend most days doing nothing because I have too many people counting on me, but I can spend a part of each day in unplanned frivolity.
