“You don’t need to be a Basquiat to shape the culture of your family.”

Since I never married my brainstorming resulted in developing an entire mythology around my relatives - for example, my dad, who was very scientific (a pharmacist) might be the equivalent of Aesculapius, the god of health. Adjacent to him would be his sister who, as a nurse, could be the goddess of healing.

Her twin sister, a bookkeeper, could be the equivalent of the Egyptian god Anubis who weighed the souls of those who had recently died.

And on it could go - my own Olympus of gods and goddesses.

The Public Domain Review is a great source for weirdness!
