Hello Intellectual Nomads!
Today’s poetry comic is from the archives. It was first published last April, and it can also be found in my haiku comic collection, Wild Divinity. Tomorrow I will be back with new work!
actions of the tide
mechanical, unaware
of our human lives
Watching the ocean continue as it has for eons, smashing against the rocks and ever so slowly transforming them into sand is a source of solace in troubled times. The ocean doesn’t care about your defeats and failures. The ocean cares nothing for your triumphs and successes. The ocean just does what the ocean does. There is a slice of eternity in the mechanics of the tides.
Be the weird you want to see in the world!
Cheers,
Jason
P.S. Good news, Becky unexpectedly was able to come how last night. She still has a long road of recovery ahead of her and lots and lots of doctor’s appointments. But it’s great to have her home!
Happy to hear this positive news, Jason!
Yay!! 🙏🏻 She’s home! Will continue to pray.
We’ve lived in N AZ over 12 years, and we do miss the CA coast, where we used to live.
The ocean’s power is both humbling and awe inspiring! 🥰
