We finally have power back! We have started the hard work of cleaning up after the ice storm. It will take us several weeks to get all the trees and branches cleaned up. But that’s next month Jason’s problem.
There are 6 images in today’s post. Please let me know if you have any trouble getting the panels to load. I’m changing up the format of my newsletters a little bit. At the end of this post, I will have a few links to cool stuff I’ve found. Like always, I hope something here will make your day at least 1% better.

Justin has one of the best TikTok accounts you’ll find. My favorite videos are the ones where he tests what you can safely hit with a hammer:
I also have a few book recommendations:
I first saw this book by Ray Salemi several years ago in a car wash gift shop. I bought it and read it immediately. It’s hilarious. All of his haiku are well crafted. This is the kind of art I hope to create. Absurd, hilarious, and dangerous.
This middle-grade book will only take two or so hours to read. But, the story will never leave you. It’s sweet and thought-provoking. What does it mean to be alive? What is the difference between a robot and an animal or a robot and a human? It’s Peter Brown’s masterpiece—an adult philosophical text disguised as a children’s book.
I actually haven’t read this book yet. But I love the title. It inspired the t-shirt the robot is wearing in the fourth panel. I have read several other Platt and Truant books, and they never disappoint. I’ve added this to my future read stack.
Thanks for reading!
Be the poetry you want to see in the world,
Jason
