Hi Comrades!
I’m feeling revolutionary today.
When I begin to feel overwhelmed by the forces of oppression—and there are genuine forces of oppression in our world—I think of a pod of humpback whales I once saw swimming past Fisherman’s Rock on the Oregon Coast.
These gentle giants seemed to want to signal us as we stood on a bluff and watched them pass on their winter migration.
I am a proponent of non-violent revolution. I believe that even the weakest of us, and that certainly includes me, have three ways to spread the quiet power of non-violent revolution. We can hope for a better future. Hope is a revolutionary act. We can make art. Art is a revolutionary act. We can build a greater connection to nature. This may be the greatest act of revolution any of us can commit.
Be the weird you want to see in the world!
Cheers,
Jason
