I wrote today’s haiku two and a half years ago. I was still recovering from the surgery that removed 1/3 of one of my kidneys and a malignant tumor. Our family was at the beach for our annual summer stay.
My four children are so much older now and the world they are inheriting seems so much more turbulent.
Parenting is just watching childhood disappear. It happens slowly at first and then all at once it’s gone.
The tides of time are unrelenting.

Be the weird you want to see in the world!
Cheers,
Jason

What a beautiful metaphor. Just wait. I'm watching this with grandchildren now. The youngest will be 2 in a few days. His brother will turn 6 in July.
