Thanks for sharing that window into your world, Jason! Writing the first draft of a story is always the most fun for me, too. After writing it, I often step away and come back to the story at a later time to edit/revise.

I love your process. Most of my writing comes after a period of processing as well. I sometimes say I have no idea where an idea has come from, or that my stories sometimes write themselves. The reality is that they form somewhere deeper than conscious thought, only surfacing when they're ready. And when they are, I write quickly, often effortlessly. Thanks for putting this process into words!
