I spend a lot of time thinking about prayer and the ways we mortals try and communicate with the divine. It’s human nature to want to understand and to be understood. However, I find my life runs smoother when I allow space for the incomprehensible.
I have a fun announcement today! I’m launching a digital haiku comics zine in time for April’s National Poetry Month! It’s called Weirdoku, and it’s going to be a monthly zine featuring comics from this newsletter. Each month there will be 24 or so comics, loosely organized around a theme.
Each issue is $2, and this month’s theme is Wonder.
This is a great way to collect your favorite haiku comics in one place.
If you’re already a paying member of this newsletter, you will be getting your issues for free. I will have your discount code at the end of this email.
I’m currently only selling this zine through Gumroad. Gumroad allows me to keep 97% of the profits. I’m primarily focusing on digital comics for the time being because printing and shipping costs are so high. I will still be doing print books, but only when I have something around 100 pages to share. Otherwise, the margins are just too narrow.
Here is the link to my Gumroad store.
The zine is a PDF. You can read it anywhere you usually read PDFs. It’s designed to look great on phones and tablets.
My favorite place to read PDFs is with the FREE Gumroad mobile app. It stores all the content you buy from all of your favorite Gumroad creatives. you can either keep the content on your device or in the cloud and download only what you want to read.
Be the weird you want to see in the world!
Cheers,
Jason
