Haiku are designed to tell stories of moments. Traditionally, those moments are true moments the poet has observed in nature. I love to write about true moments I have observed in my imagination.
i wish on sea stars
they never betray you like
those shooting stars do
rocket fuel ran out
just short of stable orbit
they tumbled back home
was the fastest draw
but the cocky gunslinger
had second-best aim
hyper luminal
drive engaged, undulating
lights become nothing
coins and keys jangled
discordant key to portal
she missed work that day
Be the poetry you want to see in the world,
Jason
