Today’s theme is extraterrestrial encounters. Have you ever seen a UFO or been abducted by aliens?

I have always loved comics and cartoons, and I’m captivated by visual storytelling. One of my favorite Subtack newsletters is Drawing Links by Edith Zimerman. Each week she sends out slice-of-life comics. For some reason reading and looking at her comics is a Zen-like experience. You should check it out:
This past week I started reading Thi Bui’s graphic novel memoir, The Best We Could Do. This book came out in 2017 and I wish I had read it sooner. It’s the story of Bui’s family’s journey fleeing war-torn Vietnam. The art is beautiful and the writing is compelling. Together they make for a sublime experience. I’m reading an ebook version, but it’s also available in print.
You can check it out here. I’m reading the Kobo version, but it’s available everywhere you buy print books or ebooks.
Thanks for reading!
Be the weird you want to see in the world!
Cheers,
Jason
Aliens abound today! I could never have said smores. I had a bad experience with marshmallows as a kid. Can't stomach them now. At least I picked pizza over broccoli. It was close, though.
“Called our planet a little blue marble not worth collecting” --I have often thought if there is alien life in the universe they are purposely avoiding us because if the shit show we are created of our beautiful earth.
