Hi Rabbits!

Happy (belated) Lunar New Year!

bashful moon sliver
sends Polaris to light the night
hides behind the trees

When I lived in Taiwan, one of the coolest things to me was how long the Lunar New Year celebrations lasted. Lunar New Year wasn’t just a single holiday but a series of holidays, festivals, and traditions.

It’s kind of like the time in the United States between Thanksgiving and New Year’s, but more cohesive.

Do you have any customs or celebrations from a culture that’s different than yours that you especially enjoy?

That's a really good haiku. Makes me think of the traditional old Japanese style

Thanksgiving 😂, since I originated in another culture. My Romanian immigrant family picked it up and added our – more sour/not sweet in any case –dishes. Probably the turkey is the only "American" dish we eat.
