Hello!
I can’t sit still.
Outside is where my brain does all of the hard work of collecting and curating the images I’ll use later in poems and comics.
What do you do to feed your creative machine?
Virtual Busking
This week, I’m trying something new. I’ve always loved watching and interacting with street performers. I saw an interview once with singer/songwriter Andy Grammer about how he started his career busking on the Santa Monica Pier.
Salem doesn’t have a culture of street performers, but I want to try my hand at busking.
If you email me, I will write you a custom haiku about anything you like. Just give me a prompt like love, robots, the ocean, or leave it to my imagination, and I will deliver you a new haiku.
In my reply email, I will send you a shareable image with your haiku and my Venmo and PayPal links.
You can tip me whatever you want. You can tip me nothing totally guilt-free! You can tip me $1 or $5 or whatever amount feels right to you, and it will be much appreciated.
One last thing, I do reserve the right to post your custom haiku on social media or add it to a later collection. If it’s okay with you, I will include a note like this:
Written for Kevin F.
lawyer listens to
your true tale of injustice
nothing she can do
Want a custom haiku? Reply to this email with your request, or email me at jason@weirdopoetry.com. Feel free to share this widely! Let’s fill the world with haiku!
Be the weird you want to see in the world!
Cheers,
Jason
Yes - I think this applies to all creative work. Thanks for the reminder!
