1. Things I Forgot To Do While Planning What I Was Going To Do Next
2. The Ink In My Pen Has Long Since Run Dry
3. Contained Within Silver-sided Cups, Thought Runs Free
4. 400 100-yen Coins
5. Ere Overmorrow, Less So Yesterday
I'll admit that at least four of these came to me while seated here at my desk.
Two additional thoughts:
1. One of my formative poetry books was Bukowski's "Play the Piano Drunk Like a Percussion Instrument Until the Fingers Start to Bleed a Bit," which is why this exercise felt a little familiar to me, I think.
2. The first time I saw Pearl Jam play live, they played Elderly Woman... Eddie made the whole crowd stay silent until he could say the whole name aloud. At the time I thought it was kind of a powermad thing to do, but you've helped me reinterpret that moment.
I'm chronically early as well and for the same reasons. Title generating is a great exercise. I'm going to try it!
1. Remember That Time I Puked in the Ficus Tree at Denny’s?
2. The Snuff Cruise
3. And That is Why She Hired a New Carpenter
Yup. Weird.
Thanks for the fun exercise, Jason. I plan on coming back to it!
This is a fun exercise, thanks!
