Jason I love this. It absolutely has the feel of a “sticky idea” to me and I hope you will allow it to stick. It’s a thought and a sentiment and a piece of poetry I really needed to see this morning. 💙
Love this title! The poem does not disappoint at all either. Love the circle juxtaposed to the rectangle of each frame. It's amazing how you find words and images to go so well together. Would a treadmill give you inspiration to poems? I've had too much rain this year this end. More rain than in my whole life time. It's chucking it down when it rains and it never stops once it's starts. I felt this deeply. The one thing I love about rain is to watch those rain drops land and ripple away in movement. Beautiful work!
"My current premise is that it is the things that don’t scale, the activities that are inefficient, that lead to creative breakthroughs." I couldn't agree more! Slowing down is where my creative breakthroughs happen.
Beautiful, Jason. I love seeing the full page view, too. The palette here is so spot-on and vibrant. Love the pattern and overall feeling of this piece.
I agree. You can't rush creativity (she says, rushing to re-write a stale, old blog essay for Monday). Writing especially needs to simmer for awhile. I don't know if you can say that about other forms of art, though.
I love these collages you've made to illustrate this haiku. Looks like it was a slow, dare I say tedious process, but in the piecing together of it, it became a blissfully meditative activity. Thank you.
Lovely concept. It has always been unascalable activities that have led me to creative breakthroughs. Stay sticky with this! Also, I love to walk in the rain, though walking has become unavailable to me of late. I'll vicariously walk with you!

I feel like we keep inventing machines to help us act more like machines.
It sure seems that way. For my part, I shall continue to resist The Borg with every fiber of my being.
We will not be assimilated!

Gorgeous as usual
Thank you!

I think one reason I keep making these collage comics is that I find joy and focus in even the tedious tasks.

I'm happy to represent you in my walks!
Raindrops are nature’s metronome.
The playfulness of rain drops
jumping from the sky intent
to run and play, skip and hop
‘til their energies are spent
gather now in wayward pools
eternal recess, mingling
skipping class, away from school
with gleeful joy and springling.
I absolutely love this art. These circles are so cool!
Thanks! I love playing with abstract designs and nature.
