What fuel you need is unique to you. That's so true! Do you think that artists are also little curators of their fuel? I think all people have 'collections' of things that inspire them, but artists are sometimes hoarders! What do you collect? Or what's in your little archive of fuel?

That's a fun question. I'm definitely a hoarder! Music is the biggest thing I collect. I have ever-changing tastes. Currently, I'm into indie country and bluegrass music. I also am obsessed with the sketches and illustrations of 19th century German naturalist Ernst Haeckel. How about you? What's in your archive/fuel tank?

You should see my pinterest. Hahaha. I love polish posters. Japanese woodblock prints. And books! Way too many books.

Spotify has saved me from my music hoarding, but yeah, I was once obsessed. I've also been on a similar taste kick. The Yellowstone official playlist is superb! And another list called Good'ns.

Been listening to chip music while I work too. Have you heard of it?

That Yellowstone playlist is good! I haven't seen the show, but the playlist makes me want to watch it. I haven't heard of chip music before. What is it?

Most of my inspiration usually comes from what I've witnessed or am horrified by. Then it whirls around in the old brain blender until it spills out of my fingers. Presto change-o, Magic!

BTW how's medium been working out for you? I tried it for a while but could never get any traction.

The world has no shortage of wonders and horrors for the brain blender.

Once upon a time, I regularly made between $100-$300 a month without much effort. I even made as much as $1,000 one month. But things plummeted and the I got tired of writing about copywriting and marketing. I haven't written anything for a long time, except repost some comics. They didn't get any traffic.

I had given up on the platform until they decided to verify months and months after I had applied (I had forgotten I had applied). so, in light of the fancy status, I'm giving it another whirl. I don't expect much from Medium itself, but I do want to write some longer pieces that don't fit in my newsletter and I can take advantage of the paywall aspect to help me on Substack where people actually read my stuff.

Interesting. Keep us updated on this. I'd love to see how the tactics work out. I have a Medium subscription still as a well but haven't used it in eons.
