Entirely sympathize. Our Siberian Irises finally sent up shoots and bloomed. Trying to appreciate amidst the symphony of sneezes and coughs around here.
Itās almost too picture-postcard-beautiful here in NC. So much to take in... Ah-chooo!!! The clouds of pollen! Creatively, I much prefer a chilly gray autumn morning.
Being an intern was such an amazing experience. I was a young polo-sci student back then and the experience was like catnip for me. I hope your cousin like their experience and that you find some respite from allergies this season!
I am SO with you!! And I love this comic and haiku!! I'm in Vancouver WA and I don't like Spring either!! Summer is barely tolerable. I much prefer the PNW Fall and Winter!!!
Brilliant poem, and I fully understand about the feeling to spring. Although I am adamant to not let the allergies win. Even with eyes that I want to scratch out of their sockets because they are itching so much, or sneezes that turn into coughs so loud I'm afraid I have to scrape my lungs off the street. But I know the feeling. We were in a beautiful park by a beautiful French castle the other day, and all I could do there is sneeze and cry. Hahaha. Summer is coming, we will be saved.
Oh, my DH and I are with you, Jason. Spring pollen season here begins in February, even with the cold. We always look forward to AZ's summer monsoon rains.
I woke up with a spot of poison oak today! I'm lucky that it's small, because I'm super allergic to it, and if I get it bad enough I have to go on steroids and the rashes get nasty fast. This one is tiny and I got to it before it spread all over. Sometimes I think I wasn't built to go outside. lol

I bet your irises are beautiful. š Iād love to see a picture, if you can take one without sneezing too hard

I love both the heat of summer and the chill of fall, anything but the pollen shower of spring!
Allergies are the band of my existence in the spring time.
On a side note: my cousin was a senate intern just a couple of years ago. He graduates from George Mason this May. š„³

I live down in Salem, and boy is there a big difference in my health between fall and spring!
I hear you! Hang in there... someday Fall will come again...
I do year round allergies. Worse in spring and fall.

Thanks! Yes, Iām anxious for summer to come and end my suffering!
Ok. Now I'm on the hunt for my ideal T-shirt comic. I'll check out the store in case you already made it. š
Definitely let me know if you have any questions

Unfortunately for me, Iām even more allergic to desert plants than the temperate climate ones.
I usually find there is poison ivy in the mix, a couple days later!š
