Oak trees, my favorite. They are everywhere in Kentucky. They support so much life, butterflies, moths, wasps, flies, beetles,even bats love Oak trees. Your poem, and your At haveh a sweet childlike grasp of one of the most important trees as far as my eyes can see. Thank you

Thank you! Oak trees are splendid trees. Where I live in Salem, Oregon was once an oak savannah, with a few varieties of oaks supporting a fantastic ecosystem. Now most of the oaks are gone.

My daughter lives in Vancouver Washington, so I've been to Oregon as well.. That whole area of the country feels and looks like another world to me. Beautiful.
