I know that many people have taken to talking to Chat GPT and other AIs like they're therapists or close confidants. I don't think I could do that, but I would be a sucker for a bot that answered in haiku or even iambic pentameter. 🤣
Thanks! Rocket is loosely based on my dog Loki and the dialogue I imagine he and I having.
Clark is speaking in 5-7-5 (unless I miscounted somewhere). I'm still trying to figure out how to structure his dialogue so it's clear it'e meant to be in three lines, when the space of a comic panel can be a bit narrow. Maybe I can use dashes or slashes to signal line breaks. 🧐
I'm excited to work on making more of these in the very near future!
I really get a smile out of the great difference in their communication style. It's a great contrast and naturally funny, doggy warmth and metallic, stiff language.
Thanks! I love hearing that their differences come through. I sometimes get these ideas, usually around 4 am, and I never know if I'm going to be able to pull them off or if they will translate in the clear light of day.
Thanks! I'm already getting ready to make more in this series. I'm thrilled with the reactions to these so far. I'm going to make Clark and Rocket a regular part of what I do here!
Brilliant! More, please.
Thanks! I'm so thrilled you liked it! I will be making more of these
This is so fun!
Yeah! Thanks! I never know how the ideas that come to me in the middle of the night will translate in the daytime.
Yes! More
You got it! More Clark and Rocket are on the way
Yay!

I love this! You always leave the most wonderful comments, thanks!
Agreed!
When will Clark wear a Superhero costume?
🧐 We'll have to see. That could make for some interesting comics!
AI = auto correct incomplete.
R=eal not Eakins.
The AI went rogue
and would only answer with
genuine haiku.

Great, I want to join the chorus of those wanting more.
Thanks! I can't wait to make more of these.
Yes more! The dog is like a dog should be! Am I the only one counting syllables? List on the haiku… is it 3 lines 5-7-5? Regardless, I love it!

Great comic. You should do a series.

That was great, more please! :)
Thanks! Will do!
Love Clark and Rocket
Their friendship makes me laugh loud
Giggles and gaffaws.
💙 Thanks! That is a great haiku about them!
Could I use that for a book blurb is I ever publish a collection about these guys?
Of course, be my guest.
I already love Clark 😅❤️
Thank you! As my 16-year-old C says, Clark's a silly little guy.

Yup, sometimes the light of day is cruel
This is absolutely delightful! I'd read a whole book of these!

Love this sequence, but especially the final haiku.
Thanks! I'm excited to see what Clark is going to say next, he already has a way of saying things I wasn't expecting
I love the whimsy of that. I bet it’s fun to see what unfolds. And fun for us, too!
