Okay, I’m convinced that you have no other life besides making this awesome art. I mean seriously, not only is your art inspiring, but so is your insane consistency. Double doff!!
I love our owls. I don't know if they migrate or not, but we've had more frequent owl hoots around lately. At the beginning of COVID, an owl perched outside my house close to the front door and hooted for hours, far longer than usual. I wrote a poem about it, of course, because it was so strange and melancholy. It was as if the owl sensed the death knells ringing in everyone's hearts at that time. "bring out your dead, bring out your dead." The world has since cheered up a bit, don't you think? Am I being too optimistic here, living in my bubble?
There are a few owls who come to our city. While we are a suburb, the growth of the area has left them little choice. Often they get a bad rap for grabbing small pets. I love to hear them when they call at night. The citrus trees also can be beacons for rodents if they are not kept picked and clean. There are still areas of trees and small woods that I hope will be kept for animals of the night. Coyotes, owls, hawks and many others. Animal sounds from my childhood home always bring great memories when there was room for them to live around humans.
Thank you for good memories with sounds and sights from my days in a small town.
LOVE these little owls! :)
Thanks! I feel owls exist in the space between adorable and terrifying
Yes!

Thanks! I’m working on taking Steve Martin’s advice about being so good they can’t ignore you. Now I just need to figure out who “they” are. 🤣
Your owls look so cool! 🩷
Thank you! My favorite thing about drawing owls is you can put their heads in just about any position and it looks good.
It’s such a beautiful way of keeping time.
It has been one of the best discoveries of my life
“Be the poetry you want to see in the world!” Nice change up!
Thanks!
I occasionally spot barn owls near my dad's place when I visit. They are such interesting fun-to-watch birds (and useful at getting rid of vermin).
My favorite thing about at least barn owls and great horned owls is they have no sense of smell and are the only major predators of skunks.

The world seems more cheery to me!
I think owls are awesome.

The humans and wild animals mix is always so tricky.
