Cool! I've been slowly dipping my toes back into Flipboard as well while I prepare my Twitter escape. I'm not quite sure how to share stuff there yet, but I'm going to be spending more time with it this week. I love the way it looks! Between Flipboard and Substack's Notes, I'm content to flee the bird app forever.
I love this. Poetry is for the ugly in us. Or at least what we have decided is ugly. Funny thought isn’t it?
Thank you for sharing. It’s very beautiful.
Thanks! We humans do a good job of deciding the most interesting things about us are ugly and trying to hide them.
the real we need; great job Jason!👍
Thank you!
As Melville wrote: It is not down on any map; true places never are
That is my favorite Melville quote!
Great book Moby Dick
Yes! Poetry and sometimes prose too. Thanks for speaking truth so eloquently, my friend
Oh, and as I'm working toward leaving the quagmire that is Twitter, I shared this to Flipboard instead.

You just create a magazine and then you can share things with almost no effort. I admit, despite my intentions, I haven't been consistent.
I’ll have to check it out during my reading period later today and get started sharing stuff
I love this poem and the way it’s written! Thank you for sharing!
Thanks Justin!
Thanks for the shoutout! Love this so much.
This is really great, Jason. I love the poem. And the prose poem is brilliant, too. I just would love to add this:
And we, the Ugly People, are the most beautiful in the world.
