Thank you for telling the alternative truth about our current situation. The planet has been through far more tumultuous times. We are like fleas on a dog. I dare say the huge creatures of past eras had their own methods of destroying the environment. We have simply been endowed with a sense of guilt about it and our egos are aching. It's all about us. So bravo, Jason, for pointing out how we need to look outward to the reality of Nature rather than the news/media narrative about it. If you'll pardon the expression, the Truth is Out There.
I really appreciate the hope represented in this essay. Observing the patterns in nature never gets old for me.
Thanks, Liz! One of the reasons I love haiku is the joy and discipline of observing the same patterns year in and year out.
You’re welcome, Jason! I know what you mean.
My favorite Y word is yearn.
Yearn is a great one! I love that

Jason, the sunrises and sunsets are beautiful, but it's the birds that open my heart. Birds by Jason McBride are so dear and funny and Themselves.
Thanks! I do love drawing birds!
My "Y" words:
Yearn, yore, and yumm
Those are fantastic!
Yes, they are. "Y" is a hard letter because there aren't many words that start with it.
