Hello, Poetic Media Consumers!
I was thrilled to read about the updated video features Substack is now offering. Back in July of last year, I experimented with video by releasing a pilot episode of what I called the Weirdo Poetry Show.
I only made one episode due to several factors, including a crisis of confidence. But, seeing the new video tools has me itching to try it again. Since I only had a handful of readers last year, 90% of you have never seen the Weirdo Poetry Show. Here is the vertical video version, the landscape version is lost to the void I’m afraid. The video does have captions.
Show Notes:
The chimes and opening fanfare are public-domain sounds. The rest of the music was composed by me. I used public-domain images, licensed images, and my artwork for the animations and comics in this episode.
I’d love to know if you’d like to see more of this kind of thing on a semi-regular basis.
This week, I’m sending out the paid subscriber edition of the newsletter on Friday. I’m including a special zine called Small Haiku Stories, which contains 200 haiku structured as stories. There will be a handful of haiku comics in the zine as well.
Be the weird you want to see in the world!
Cheers,
Jason
