I’m digging all of your haikus, but this might be one of my favorites. I think I connect with your work/art so much because I’m on a similar trajectory.
Thanks! I often feel like Im the woman looking at the telescope pointing to the wrong part of the sky. But the best part about making stuff is connecting with other people who are on a similar journey.
There is so much truth in what you say here, Jason. This looking inside is the work of a lifetime. The courage to do so provides us with that first, crucial step to healing and becoming more whole.
Your comment reminds me of the Maya Angelou quote, "Courage is the most important of all the virtues because without courage, you can't practice any other virtue consistently." The courage to do something consistently is a prerequisite for any type of lasting change.
Thanks! I'm 45 now and am surprised and how much I'm still learning about myself. I hope to spend my next 45 years proving the lessons of the first 45 weren't wasted on the young

Keep ‘em coming! 😀

Couldn’t agree more. And at least you’re looking skyward! Half the time I’m digging through the weeds or stuck in the mud somewhere. 😅

Beautifully worded, Dascha. “Looking inside is the work of a lifetime” - spot-on!

Yes! That ties in perfectly.
It took me the first 45 years of my life to learn creative validation comes from within. The next 45 years is being spent proving it. :)
Love your Haikus!

Deep work
I think deep work is the only work worth doing
