Wonder is everything. Nice art and writing, Jason. I lived in Montana and I also had many surreal experiences with the night skies. There's a good reason it is called "big sky country."

Montana is someplace I have yet to see. I would love to sleep under that big sky!

As an astronomer this post meant a lot to me, especially since I have dedicated my career to studying.. the Milky Way! So so glad I subscribed (thanks for the discount!) to read this illustrated testimony, and to be able to write this comment to say thank you for sharing.

This was a wonderful read Jason, thank you🙏 A great reminder to me, just what I needed and a deep connection to my own philosophy. With amazing art too!

Thank you! I'm enjoying exploring different memories and thinking about how they fit into my current view of the world and sitting with what I feel about all of that.

This is a great way to think about it. Using experiences we have had and re-processing them to see what else they can teach us, instead of just staying with the view we had of them at the time. Thank you Jason

My understanding of the universe, which I consider my “higher power”— continues to evolve. Your gorgeous haibun captures so much of this evolution. I am moved beyond further words.

PS: the Northern Lights are mindblowing. Have you experienced this?

I have not yet seen. the Northern Lights--and I desperately need to see them!

As close to perfection as I’ve ever felt - for a lot of the same reasons…. My belief system is very near what you have described. Not the feeling of being told everything is wrong and bad and sinful - no I think it is being kind, patient & understanding and it boils down to wonderment- to not feel like everything you feel is wrong - but being as kind to others as you wish them to be to you. When I got “sick” and after the anger left I was left with the choice of being angry forever or I could see the good even in illness. I had enough of my pity party for one. I enjoy the life I have and am beyond happy-I would not give that away for that healthy body I once had. I appreciate LIFE. And I love MY life. It is all about our reaction to everything - opposites but equal and all of that!

Thank you for reminding my to appreciate it even more ❤️
