Thanks, Amy! Fortunately, these comments are a very small part of the reaction I get. But of course, they're what I remember the most vividly 🤣 I'm sure some are bots, but I think I somehow ran afoul of a nest of trolls several years ago and they show up once every few months.
My view is there has to be room for the non-political, the more the better, but maybe that is political, too. I'm with Paul and you. Oh, I once nearly died in the ocean. I feel validated.
Im a lover of
silly haiku too.. so there!
shooby doobie do
Ha! Thanks, Jerry!
Thats outstanding comic art! The melding of comic and poetry. With haiku no less. Loved it.
Thank you so much!
I welcome, silly haiku! The world has enough people perseverating and pontificating the political.
Thanks, Liz! We are definitely in a place where there's too much noise.
I am shocked that you get comments or emails like that! Shocked!! Sigh. There is always room, so much room, for more haiku and haiku art.

Here are two from my newsletter in progress. I will post it to Substack on Friday.
Bullfrog with six legs
Must have eaten a smaller frog
Only legs remain
Bears in the Smokies
Awaken for tourist days
Better left unfed
I love these! Especially that frog one!
Everything is political and everything is spiritual. Keep doing what you’re doing!
Thanks, Brian! I agree and I will!
I love your art for exactly that: I don’t need more political anything!
Thanks, Amie! I'll keep doing what I'm doing

Silly haiku are a gift to the world, an invitation to laugh with not at someone.
Who could ever have enough of Jason's birds?! (Let alone his haiku.)
It's the green heron for me, this time. Enchanting.
