Always true and useful. Spinoza suggested “Sub specie aeternitatis”, which has a ring to it. By the time I have remembered the phrase my mind is often clear! :)
This was awesome, Jason! Thank you. (And the good news is, scientists should be able to figure out what occurred before the Big Bang in less than 10 years. 😀)
I used to be the communications director for the College of Science at Clemson U and so got to hang out with a lot of great astronomers, and they were all very hopeful.
This is awesome! I enjoyed the message a lot. You should def experiment with other forms of poetry here! The word “entropy” has been in my vocabulary for some time now, but surprisingly, as far as I know, this was my first time discovering “negentropy.” It’s always nice to learn new words.
Thanks! I’ve written a lot of non-haiku poetry, but I haven’t shared much of it, nor have I turned much of into comics. But I’m working to expand my creative work. Thanks for your encouragement. I think I’m going to work at least one non-haiku poetry comic in each week.
Negentropy is a fascinating word. I discovered it when I was writing something and wondered what the word for the opposite of entropy was. Happy accidents
I completely overlook the scientific definition of “entropy” and use it in my poetry to describe things that “lack of order or predictability; gradual decline into disorder.” There are three definitions of “entropy” on Google, and they’re all pretty similar, but I’ve never been a science girl and didn’t want to get too technical with it. I like how you use the two words here!
Gorgeous Work! 💪❤️💥
Thanks you!
Nothing to nothing
In between there is something
We are a flicker
I love this haiku, Chad! "We are a flicker". What a beautiful line.

Spinoza is one of those thinkers who always feels much more modern to me than the 17th century.

Thanks, Jim! The things scientists are discovering thanks to the Webb Deep Space Telescope are astounding!
