Pay-What-You-Want Poetry & Custom Haiku Comics
Have you ever seen a street performer work for tips?
I’ve always loved these buskers. Their creativity and showmanship are inspiring and mesmerizing.
There aren’t a lot of crowds where I live, so it’s not feasible for me to be out hustling poetry on the mean streets of Salem.
But I can do something similar online.
For the past three years, for limited periods of time, I have made myself available for some pay-what-you-want commission work.
Now, I’m open again to creating custom haiku poems and haiku comics.
How Does It Work?
If you want a custom haiku or haiku comic, you can DM me on Substack or email me directly at jason@weirdopoetry.com. Tell me what you want me to write the haiku about and who it is for. These custom haiku comics make fantastic gifts, but you can also request one for yourself.
If you’d rather do something smaller, you can also request a simple poem, no comic.
What can I write haiku about? Pretty much anything.
I’ve written haiku poems about love, robots, the ocean, marketing, psychology, pirates, horror, owls, astrophysics, and more.
The same goes for haiku comics.
A single or set of haiku poems usually takes me a day or so. A custom haiku comic usually takes 2-3 days, depending on demand and my schedule.
Once I finish, I send you your custom poems or haiku comic. I will also send you my Venmo information and my PayPal link. You then tip me whatever you want, or nothing at all—all guilt-free.
The comic or poem is yours to do with whatever you want. I will send you a high-quality version, a social media-friendly version, in case you want to print it out. I reserve the right to use the comics in my portfolio or to publish them as part of a collection of comics.
