I wish we could separate education from the idea of being economically useful for kids a little better too. I think the idea that we need to control what teachers teach, that every second of the day must be maximized for test taking knowledge, and that the purpose of school is so you can one day get a job are harmful to our society.
Couldn’t agree more with you on this. It makes me upset that so many school districts attempt to rob children of these magical days. ❄️
