I like this so much! Now every time I see grass I will think of children’s secrets resting there...Wishing you all the best for the holidays and in the new year!
Jason, You and yours are my thoughts for this holiday season. Love each of these selections from the past year, many of which I missed because I was not here on Substack.
What a wonderful selection, Jason, I particularly love the first few haikus but couldn't choose amongst them all.
I owe you a gigantic thank you for the joy you have brought into my own writing, as you might remember you introduced me to the art of haikus and I find I now mostly write in that fashion.
Sending you and your family health and serenity, plentiful joy and inspiration.
I hope all works out for you and your loved ones and y’all can enjoy the season.. See you next year. ☺️
Thanks!
Sending good thoughts to you and yours.
Thank you!
A good selection! I hope everything goes well for you and your family as the year comes to a close.
Thanks 🙏
You're welcome.

Thank you! I often think that poem is the best haiku I’ve ever written. I’m so happy it resonates with you!

Painting whatever i want
Watching myself grow
And also see my loved ones grow
Are what bring me joy
These are marvelous things!
Yes, they are😉👍
Plus, i've been painting for a few years (see my Notes and tell me what you think of them).
A haiku about being a grandma to tiny ones:
Small hands, feet, voices
bring mayhem to the quiet
my joy is noisy
This is beautiful! My kids are all teens now, and thinking about them as little ones is very bittersweet
Excellent recap, Jason - Looking forward to more in '24!
Thanks!
See the cat lick his fur
At home in the world
Because he is the world
This is a good one!
a screech alerts me
two hawks launch from garden tree
soaring separate ways
Time to rest and attend to urgent business. Hope all mends before the year's pendulum swings again. Thinking of you this holiday week.
Thank you! I love your haiku about the hawks!
